I'm in the middle of rebuilding my website and I want to architect it so that I don't run into this issue again:

We are a school site and I'm using K2 for all of our content, but I can't use Joomla's built-in caching at all (conservative).

I have a menu called "Class Menu" that has this structure:

1st Grade
--1st Grade Class Page
-- 1st Grade Calendar
--1st Grade Homework (K2 latest items menu type)
2nd Grade
--2nd Grade Class Page
--2nd Grade Calendar
--2nd Grade Homework (K2 latest items menu type)
etc...

On each of my grade-level pages I am displaying a sub-menu that is set to be based on the page they are on and only display the items at that level.

The problem is that with caching turned on, all of the K2 latest items pages end up displaying the exact same content, likely the first one that was cached. I tried it again today and it was 3rd grade homework on every other grade's homework page.

How can I fix this so that I can use caching?

Since school is out for now, I've turned caching back on.

The caching issue is also happening with K2 content modules:
On this page: www.pdsmemphis.org/6th-grade
The "Home Learning - 2B" module isn't set to show up on that menu item. It was cached when I loaded the 2B class page (www.pdsmemphis.org/2nd-grade/2b).

There is a couple of thing to tweak in every site when you enable caching.

a) Never cache the menu module, in the module's parameters select None for caching.
b) Same goes for breadcrumbs
c) Make sure that the cache plugin is dead last in the plugins' list.
