K2 Items & Categories missing after 2.7 - not resolved

Hi,

We have a continual problem with the K2 2.7 upgrade (on Joomla 3.5.1 sites).

On a raw installation of Joomla 3.5.1, EN-GB single-language, when we install K2 2.7 the Items and Categories we create don't appear. It works fine in K2 2.6.9, so we're having to use the old version for now.

I understand this is an issue with the Language Selector. I note this has been discussed elsewhere with the conclusion that it's 'resolved' by 1) Updating Mojishop (which we don't use - the only extension on our test site is K2 2.7), 2) Installing all Joomla EN language packs (which doesn't work for us) and 3) clearing cookies continually or using private browsing (which works, but it isn't a resolution - we can't pass it on to our customers).

It also makes no difference if we set the new Category/Item's language to 'English UK' or 'All'. When we select a language from the drop-down, it doesn't save on the refresh - it reverts to " - Select language - " (where the other drop-downs, such as Published etc, save as the selected status).

Does anyone have a resolution for the raw problem, or do we know if it's being addressed in the next version? For now, we are sticking to 2.6.9. Otherwise, 2.7 looks like a really nice update.

Hello,
K2's filters are being generated from Joomla's API.
We are not using custom filters. This means that the cookie is being set by some other extension.
To be honest I have not noticed this issue on the numerous K2 sites we are maintaining.

So this is a raw installation of stock Joomla 3.5.1, with the only installed extension being K2 2.7. There are no extensions other than K2.

Do I understand that there's nothing being worked on to remedy this? I'd hate to discontinue use of K2, we use it on 3 or 4 websites going live each week. Would it help to provide access to a test website?

UPDATE - we've narrowed this down to the fact that we are running multiple Joomla websites on the same domain (a development domain). The cookies are getting confused between different websites.

This is not an issue when there is only 1 website on the domain, as is obviously the norm.

You should be able to resolve this with Joomla!'s Cookie Path settings.
