I just downloaded the K2 component and I hope you will be able to assist or advise.

I am trying to install a K2 Component for the site but i get the error:

Hello,
Do you have correct permission on your file/ folders.
They should be 755 for folders and 644 for files.

Furthermore make sure that you have set the correct path for the /tmp and /logs path in your configuration.php file.

Furthermore in case something went really wrong you can try the following,
Backup (I cannot stress this enough)
Drop any K2 tables from the db (ONLY if this is a fresh install).
Cleanup your Joomla!'s /tmp folder
Download a fresh copy and install it.
