I discovered recently that PDF files (attachments) could not be opened (file corrupted) when downloaded.
I get this message when trying to open them after download: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
This is a problem when Attachments is set to SHOW in 'Item view'. Clicking on the link to download the file, will download it, but it is corrupted and can't be opened.
However, when in admin, the download link in 'Operations' (where you add Attachments) will download the file correctly.
AND if that Operations link is copied and pasted for the visitors to download, then that works, and the file is fine.

Here are the two links to the files: the first one works fine (taken from admin) but the second one (from show attachments) does not. They both reference the same file:

Any ideas why the download from 'Show attachments' is corrupt?

this 'Download attachments' link downloads the file, but it is corrupt.

this link works fine and the file opens as expected.

I did but I cannot duplicate the issue on any site that I have, using either 2.7 or 2.7.1

I saw posts generally on pdf document corruption which were blaming PHP versions.

However, can you update to the DEV version and let me know if that helps? github.com/getk2/k2
