When I want to open a K2 item which has a gallery with 15 pictures of around 100kb per picture, I get this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 139264 bytes) in /home/joomla/domains/joomla.conversal.eu/public_html/libraries/joomla/application/web.php on line 462

Memory limit is set to 128mb.

Is this normal? We had this before when we uploaded e.g. pictures of 5Mb per picture, but never with resized pictures. It doesn't seem normal to me and I don't want just to increase the memory size for this...

The file mentioned in the error is a core file. If you remove the gallery is the issue gone?

I don't have it on new K2 Items without gallery...

I don't see a way to delete the gallery on items with this problem, since I can't open them?

Is this error in the backend or the frontend?
You can try increasing the memory limit, or ask your hosting your provider to do so.

You can also try setting a larger memory limit eg: 128 in the "Memory limit (in MBs)" param of SigPro's settings.

Please note that this will not work in all hosting environments since sometimes this limit has to be set by the hosting provider themselves.

It's in the backend when i try to edit an article.

I know it can be fixed with increasing the memory, but that's not my issue, i think it's very strange editing this article requires that much memory? Something is going wrong there, right?

Which other K2 related (and non-K2) extensions are you using?

I think 128mb is good value for the memory limit, try to disable some plugins one by one to filter out the problematic extensions.

We went to Components -> Simple Image Gallery Pro -> Options -> Advanced and under Memory Limit I removed value 24 which was set there. We don't know why it whas there, our bad probably.
