static web page inside Joomla/K2 was created by Al[bert] L[ouis] Rossi
I have been migrating a static site to Joomla/K2. One of the articles, however, links to and discusses a version of a web page from an external site which was removed (no longer exists) except as a copy maintained locally. What I would like to do ideally is simply transfer this copy as a static page plus supporting css and images over to the new site where I am running Joomla and link to it there from the K2 item. But this is not possible on the hosting service I am using.
Could I achieve this inside of Joomla in some way (without the html being reformatted according to the template ... I want to preserve the exact look of the original page)?
Thanks, Al

Hey Al,
why don't you try it with an iframe?
Or (maybe easier) just simply put that copy of the page on your webspace and insert a link from a K2 / Joomla article to this copy.
Hope this helps.
Matthew.

Matthew,
thanks for your suggestions. Your second one was the one I was looking to do originally, but was led to believe by the help desk at the site that it would not work. It turns out it was only a question of the relative url not working. Using a full url renders this possible.
Best, Al

If you are using the same menu/ header/ footer you can simply paste the contents of the page into a K2 item in the HTML part of your editor.
