I need to restrict access to specific K2 categories by K2 user group in the back-end. There is no front-end editing that would be used on this site; however, I would like only specific users assigned to their respective K2 user groups to be able to access the categories that those user groups are assigned to. For example, User A is assigned to K2 User Group 1 (this user group is assigned access to Categories A and B), User A should only be able to view, create, edit, and publish items in Category A and Category B.
I have 5 K2 user groups, all assigned access to their respective categories, but when I login as that user, I can still access all of the items in K2. I have read some threads and mentions of back-end restrictions coming out in a newer version of K2, and I am running the latest version (2.7.1). I can not use 3rd party extensions on this site. Can this functionality be achieved with K2 only?
