Tag.php override was created by Uzi
Hello,

I'm overriding the tag.php file, which gets called when you click on a tag. But I have some trouble overriding and customizing it to my design.

First of all, how can I change the title of the page, now it's like this: "Displaying items by tag: 'tag'"

Second, how can I get the actual tag of the page. It's in the URL, it's in the page title, but I cannot seem to find it in the $item variable.

Also, I put the tag.php in my News override category, but it looks like the tag.php override can only work if you override the default tag.php, is this true?

Thanks!

You can create multiple tag overrides.
However there is a limitation. Apart from the default override (default/tag.php) the other ones (template-name/tag.php) need to be mapped into a menu item.

As for the "Displaying items by tag: 'tag'" part www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/37801-solved-change-displaying-items-by-tag-page-title
