Hi Krikor, I hope you are well...

I got this old SEF problem with joomla 3.6 and category SEF.

As you can see here all subcategory have the same structure when hovering over them:
www.quebecguitare.ca/suivi

but this new one I created, when I click on it, even though the hovering mouse shows the correct SEF structure, it changes to something I don't want:
From: www.quebecguitare.ca/suivi/nathanael (correct)
To: www.quebecguitare.ca/suivi/content/suivi-par-nathanael-labreche (wrong)

I double checked my menu item structure, so I think it's an old SEF that needs to be cleared.

What's your take on this?

Also the item template here has an image bug (A):
www.quebecguitare.ca/suivi/content/marie-pier-n-montreal

It should be the same as this (B):
www.quebecguitare.ca/suivi/francis/content/alex-a-montreal

Same thing with the SEF, A should have the same structure as (B), like this:
www.quebecguitare.ca/suivi/nathanael/content/marie-pier-n-montreal

-There is a word missing in the SEF (the nested category)
-The item category template as an wrong link for the image

Any clues?

Thank you,
Regards
Alex

Remind me,

Are you using an SEO extension, if yes this most likely a cache issue.
As for the image, the image is correct. It it the user's avatar. It will display the author's image.

Non I am not using a cache component. These are the native SEF.
I create menu alias to get the shortest SEF structure possible but I am failing this time and I do not know why.

thanks for the avatar image it figured it out since I posted.

Check to see if there is another menu pointing to the same element.

Hi Krikor, I've disabled the SEF and checked the menu items.

I still have some strange cache problems. When I clear the cache of the browser and the CMS menu items leads to blank pages or items on the item_category template will not show up properly.

www.quebecguitare.ca/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=category&id=251:justine-l-montreal&Itemid=968

This only happens to 1 or two menu items.

These are the problematic menu items:
www.quebecguitare.ca/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&layout=category&task=category&id=166&Itemid=848
www.quebecguitare.ca/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=category&id=251:justine-l-montreal&Itemid=968

I've used the rebuild menu function here but no luck:
www.quebecguitare.ca/administrator/index.php?option=com_menus&view=menus

Could I give you credentials so you could have a look?

Here are the menu item from the front end taken in screenshots. The breadcrumbs links will also return dead K2 item category pages but not always.

I have K2 - Additional Categories for K2 plugin and
K2 Filter & Search module

Thanks Krikor.

Here are the menu items. There might be something I don't see.

There is 1 alias and one menu link leading to the same category:

This alias:
www.quebecguitare.ca/administrator/index.php?option=com_menus&view=item&client_id=0&layout=edit&id=991

Leads to this K2 category menu item:
www.quebecguitare.ca/administrator/index.php?option=com_menus&view=item&client_id=0&layout=edit&id=968

Try disabling the additional categories for K2 extension.

As for the menus, I changed and changed back several aliases with no effect to other aliases. Furthermore K2 will not alter your alias.
