I've a Category page and whenever I edit the Ordering of articles in the Options of the category, whenever I change to "Newest first" or "Oldest first" no changes to the articles order happen.

What can be wrong? Thanks

Make sure that you are not seeing cached content.
Furthermore if that category is inheriting tis settings from another category. If that is the case you need to edit the master category's settings.

I have the same issue too I am using version 2.7.1. I set the ordering to oldest first still nothing change on the site, it still shows that last items created.
I would like to drag the article in the order I want them to be display on the site, but I don't see option to drag them to position.

Are you setting the ordering in the menu item or the category?
Is that category inheriting its settings from another category?
