images size xsmall cache XL?!

images size xsmall cache XL?! was created by Klaus Fuchs
Hi out there,
I upload a logo as the image of every item.
This logos are only 237px/237px
So I add this size in the category section parameter/ Images/ Item XSmall image width (in px) = 237
Question 1:
do i need to type the size: 237 or 237px?
Question 2:
even I tried both if i check the sitze of the images in the browser (cache)
always: 22c02097e4438bd2f2f3fe4a6a3ab0e1_XL-640x640.jpg
but why not 22c02097e4438bd2f2f3fe4a6a3ab0e1_XSL-237x237.jpg
even if I delete all caches same thing:-(

solvwed, it was something different - noting to do with k2
