Links within K2 was created by chris
Hi Everyone
I hopesomeone can point me in the right direction. I have a new joomla site which has K2 already installed with examples.
I have created my first module and after doing some writing i did a link to another article for them to go to if they wish.
The main problem i have no idea what to put in the box for it to link and display.
The box comes up with
URL
Text to Display
Title
Target
Using K2 is not like using the standard joomla linking which you select the article K2 is different and i have no idea where to start.
The other question is how on earth do you find what a url of an article is?
Can anyone give some guidance in how you would enter a URl in this box for the article quality-in-manufacture which has an ID of 32
Many thanks

Hello Chris,
This is editor specific functionality. You can enter the entire URL in the url field.
If you are using JCE you can also use: github.com/getk2/k2-links-for-jce

Hi Krikor
Many thanks for that, but how do you find the URL of the article once you have created it. If i can find that out i can then put in the box the URL, but i cant see anyway to see the article URL thats the problem i had with putting it into the box.

The link of the item can be found from the frontend.
Based on your menu/SEF structure you might be able to predict it, but this is specific to each site.

Hi
Thats the problem I have when i create an article in K2 I cannot see from the front end, all i can see is the article I have written in the backend, to see this in the front end it would have to display and there is no easy way to guess what this is. I would have thought K2 would have done the same as joomla does, and have the menu to select the article, but it does not.
Basically when I have created the article called quality-in-manufacture and allocated it to a new category of quality, there is no way to know what the URL is, to then put that URL onto the link. Thats the problem I have is finding what the URL is of the article I have created under that category.

If you can't map it to a menu item, then use the extension I posted in my initial post.
