K2 content module: featured items on top?

I'm using K2 content module with slide template to show the last items of some categories (with item order: recent first (by creation date)). I set also "featured items: show", awaiting for featured items placed always on top, but it doesn't work as I expected. Featured items are displayed but as a normal item in the position defined by its creation date (defined by chosen item order).
How can I display items of specific categories and have the featured items of such categories showed always on top (éwith both featured and "normal" items showed in the selected item order)?

Thank you for the tip. It is indeed simpler, but not what I need for my site layout. I need to have in the same K2 Content module both "normal" and "featured" items and maintain the featured items on the top (as I can do in forums). Is it possibile?william white wrote: It may be simpler to create a copy of mod_k2_content and set it to show featured only in the cat you want, and put another module in a position just below it

I do not see an option in mod_k2_content to do this

Well .. let me ask a last question: do you plan to release a new K2 Content module version with such an enhancement?william white wrote: The k2 category menu item has an option featured first
