Edit items resets publish date was created by Chrissovalantis Zervas
I have a blog where users login and publish articles with K2. When a user edits anything in his item and saves it, the create date and publish date change to the current. This is a problem, sinces modules like K2 content that show latest items, get confused.
Any idea how to fix it?

Hello Krikor,
It is Joomla! 3.8.4 and K2 v8.0. With K2 7.0 there was not such a problem.

No, there are no errors in JS tab.
I am using Gantry 5 for template, JCE Editor for text editing and Roksprocket for the homepage slideshow. Everything else is based on K2.

Just of curiosity,
With Protostar and no JCE Editor or Roksprocket is it working properly?

Well, with protostar the whole website is not working. With Beez3, though, there is the same problem. When a user edits and then saves an article, both create and publish dates change to current.

Are your overrides up to date?
You are talking about the frontend, right?

When an author is logged in and edits an item, it is considered as backend or frontend? I will check it, though.

Hi Krikor.
Checked again with a new installation. I logged in as user, editted an article and when I saved it, the created date changed to current.
