At the top (underneath the title) there is the main image from the article. It has a link/click to view the bigger image.
I want that link/click removed... is that a parameter? Or do I have to change something else>

This is related to your template's overrides.
You need to address this issue to the template's developer.
If you have some basic coding skills you can remove the <a class="itemImage" ... tags.
DO NOT remove the content within the tag.

Another approach would be to remove the href attribute value, and replace the <a> tag with a <span> one.
