Hi,

Whenever a person open a page, query related to k2 items hit's update got executed. If 1000 people open same page(it happens when a campaign starts), k2_items page gets locked as system is trying to update k2 items. And because of this, site goes down for few minutes.

Is there a way that this update query did not get executed so that server remain active even after campaign start?

This is considered a core hack so please keep a backup
These are the lines to comment out

PS. Caching is a better alternative :)
