No popup engine on main image click

No popup engine on main image click was created by Gorast
Can someone point me to a direction why when clicking on the item image there is no popup engine but instead gives the image in the plain browser.

EDIT: It looks like jQuery was not loading. I added to load 1.12.4 and now its working.
Should I keep this way? Will some other sides of the website go broken?

Isnt there newer jQuery?

1.12.4 is the most compatible jQuery release with new and older browsers. That's why it's also included in Joomla 3.x. You'll be fine.
