H there, after updating to K2.9.0 the Comments Module only shows 1 comment per item (despite other config settings) and this comment is not the latest but the first ...

Can you please install v2.9.1 (dev) from github.com/getk2/k2/archive/master.zip and check once more?

Sorry, still the same problem.
Meanwhile, can I download the 2.8 version again? Do you have a link?

Fixed in mod_k2_comments (error in SQL query) - please try this github.com/getk2/k2/archive/master.zip once more.

Hi, thanks for the 2.9.1. version. Had the same issue and this fixed it.
We would like to have one item (image, intro, title) and under it comments from that one item. Ideally also a comment-box with possibility to add a comment. I haven't found a way to do this, but for now we use the comment module to show the comments.
Problem is that we cannot choose the item we want to show comments to via the module, only the category. The only way to go around this is to have one separate category, where we move this item we want to show. But this is not a good way due to the URL changes that this method causes.
Is there any possibility to add the possibility to choose an Item ID instead of category name for the source comments.

Can you provide more context please? What are you trying to achieve? A site URL would also help better understand what you currently have...

Hi,
I can send you a link next week after we publish the site. Now still under constracution and closed.
The idea is to have a box on frontpage, with the following:
One K2 item image
K2 item title
K2 item intro
Latest comments FOR THAT same K2 item
Comment box where readers can give a comment (on frontpage).
*****
I know this last one is not maybe possible. The issue now is the K2 comments module and the fact we cannot choose ONE ITEM. We have to choose ALL categories or for example ONE CATEGORY.
If we choose One category (where the K2 item is), the comment module will show ALL comments for the category. So not all comment for that one item we chose for "conversation".
Only way around this now is to create a new category and move that ONE item to that new category and choose that new category as the source for comments (in K2 comments module).
This method causes URL issues later on when we move the item back to the original category.
****
All this would be fixed if we could choose the source of comment from ONE ITEM ID. :)

You're doing things the wrong way...
Don't related the item with the K2 Comments module. The latter is a way to gather latest comments in a sidebar or a site's homepage. It's not meant to present the comments of a single item.
To ACTUALLY show an item's comments, simply make sure you have comments enabled (to show) in the item's category settings. If it's enabled there but you still don't see the comments and comments form, then check if comments are hidden specifically for that K2 item in its display settings.
After you do that, simply create a menu item pointing to this single K2 item. Done.
