Hi,

I'm totally new to K2 & I feel a bit dumb!

I quite simply cannot get it to work as expected. I've downloaded & installed the latest release, I've imported groups from Joomla, the users all being Authors, given full permissions to the group, created a category.

When I add menu items these don't work either, I get things like this even though the user has permissions. Are there any builds of K2 that I could try? So sorry very new to K2, so don't know if I'm just being stupid (I honestly am stuck!).

I'm unable to see anything like 'create new', 'edit existing' or other such like buttons. When adding various menu items I do get things like this:

YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO VIEW THIS RESOURCE
The page you are looking for was moved, removed, renamed or might never existed.

I'd really appreciate a bit of guidance. I'm really good with Joomla, PHP, JS, so adding a Component & configuring is not difficult for me (usually lol).

Don't worry, K2 is not difficult to learn quickly, just tell us what do you want to achieve so anyone from the community can help.

Thanks for a very quick reply.

Basically I want all users to be able to create items front end, the site uses Jomsocial, I've already installed plugins to integrate with Jomsocial, as such K2 users profiles are not going to be used.

I just want basic functionality all fromt end.

Great!

Just one more step to get it working.
Look at the last section labelled "Assign group permissions to these categories"
Either to select "All" for the Filter option, or select some categories from the Categories list.
