Extra fields not displayed in admin, only for 1 category was created by Django
Hello
In K2, the extra fields are not displayed in admin for 1 of the categories..
"Please select a category first to retrieve its related "Extra Fields"..."

But the category is selected, and its extra-fields created, and it works for all the other categories.

Any suggestion ?

Hello,

You need to check at first whether there are K2 plugins enabled, specially which are dealing with extra fields.

If you disabled the plugins and enable them one by one and test, you can determine which one causes this issue.

I have only these plugins, and they are all enabled :
- Recherche intelligente - K2
- K2 - Simple image Gallery Pro
- Search - K2
- System - K2
- User - K2

Nothing about extra fields.

The problem may arise from a JS conflict caused even by a rogue system plugin.

Use your browser's dev tools' console tab to check for any such errors.

I have had this issue on one of my sites powered by K2
Installing the latest version from github download has fixed it.
Multiple Extra Fields Groups for K2
AutoMeta for K2
Chained Fields for K2
More K2 Extensions In My Extensions Store

My bet is that it's a JS related issue, probably coming from a system plugin (if not some other 3rd party K2 plugin).

Have this problem too. Clean Joomla 3.9.15 and K2 2.10.3. But i've found that i can make new extra field and new group for it, and then reassign it to a target extra field group. Inconvenient but working...

And if i make second extrafield group, then i can make new extra field for my target first group, without any problems. As soon as I delete the second group - error with "select group or create new" come back.

You need to make sure it's not a JavaScript error first and this can only be done if you use your browser's dev tools (console tab).
