Make sure extra fields are enabled in the K2 category settings of that item.

If your template came with existing K2 template overrides, these may NOT include the relevant code for showing extra fields. In this case, compare the files in /templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_k2/ with the source files in /components/com_k2/templates/.
