Additional Categories was created by Red Evolution
Hi Fotis,
Not sure if this is an issue at the K2 end or the Additional Categories plugin end but going to run it past you first. We are running both on Afloat.ie and they were working well together but the client reported that when they now 'Feature' an article, if it's placed into multiple categories using the plugin, the K2 Content module we use for pulling out featured stories, displays it once for every category it's added in. Is there a tweak we can do to the code to only get it to display each story once rather than once per category?
Thanks,
Dave

For starters, I would recommend using www.web357.com/product/multiple-categories-for-k2-joomla-plugin which both actively maintained and does not require hacking K2 core files. "Additional Categories" is both old and abandoned, so assume it won't work as expected either way.

Sorry for the confusion, Multiple Categories is the one we are using. We used to use Additional Categories but changed it last year to Multiple Categories.

Then you should direct the question to Web357. :)

Okay, wasn't sure if it was something to do with their plugin or the way the K2 Content module was reading it.

The K2 Content module filters unique IDs. I'm guessing it's some bug in how Web357's plugin extends the various parts of K2, including that module. But in any case, Yiannis will see to it. You're in good hands :)
