According to google, on pagination pages ie:Page-2.html , the canonical rel needs to be to itsalfe and not to the main page (root page ) like with k2.
Is there any way to do that with k2?

That is a great news!

On the same subject, I saw in the last version that there is now a "canonical" in the tags page, and that is great, but i think there is a bug for the SEF link in the canonical. Instead of showing the SEF link, it shows the link with all the parameters, and there is no slash after the domain name that separates the domain from the parameters.

it's working good if you select "Use relative URL path",
but if you select "Use absolute URL path" like i select for my site, the problem that i describe occur

I try but no change, the problem still occur

I'm using sh404 but after i cancel it and stay only with joomla SEF, the problem still occur.
When I'm changing in the k2 config to "Use relative URL path", this fix the problem, but i need to use "Use absolute URL path" for my site and with this configuration the problem occur.
