K2 articles url under sp pagebuilder menu item was created by Andrea
Hi, i've got an issue with the website im currently working on.
I have installed both k2 and sp pagebuilder, created a menu item that refers to a sp page which has an article block that fetches article from a given k2 category.
Even though i applied sef urls within k2 (correctly, i suppose), the resulting url does not take account of the menu item alias (see link below)
bussolinomarafioti.it/component/k2/sample-3
Any suggestions? What i need to achieve is an url like this: bussolinomarafioti.it/aree-di-attivita/sample-3
Many thanks, have a nice day!

In order to have SEF URLs, content from components has to be mapped to at least one menu item.
In this case, SPPB may be mapped to a menu item, but K2 isn't. SPPB just fetches K2 content directly, either by calling one of K2's modules or by direct SQL queries. SPPB acts as a shell, it doesn't hold/resolve the actual content.
To address your issue, you can create a menu in Joomla to map your K2 categories and in there create on or more menu items pointing to K2. This menu does not have to be public on the site. However it will allow you to have better looking URLs for your K2 content.
Keep in mind that what you face here is not K2 specific. The same would apply for any other component that is being retrieved inside SPPB.

Hi Fotis,
thank you once again for your quick replies!
I was guessing this thing also, but wanted an expert advice :P
So i should create a new site menu with a menu item that references to the k2 category the sample items are cointained in, giving it the alias "aree-di-attivita" right?
Then when accessing the page made with sp pagebuilder and clicking on the link of one article what i'll have is the following url, right?
bussolinomarafioti.it/aree-di-attivita/sample-3

Hi Fotis,
there's a problem with that: if the sp pb menu item has the alias "news-e-formazione", the same can't be placed in the k2 category menu item...
Any workaround?

Nest the menu items. Use the one for SPPB as the top level menu item and then add any/all K2 menu items as children to the SPPB menu item. This way URLs won't clash.

BTW, this is not a K2 or SPPB limitation, it's how menu item aliases work in Joomla.
