Hi,
I've installed Additional categories for k2, but when I assign an additional category to an item, it is not shown in the additional category page.

Joomla 3.9.18
K2: v2.10.3
php: 7.3.18

Pls advice
Chris

What you're using is a deprecated/abandoned extension.

I highly recommend this one www.web357.com/product/multiple-categories-for-k2-joomla-plugin which is actively developed & can even assist in migrating from "Additional Categories for K2".

@Franz Chris is referring to a 3rd party extension (which is no longer supported) to allow multi-categorization. It's not related to the catalog mode in K2 or anything.

@Fotis. Im using this plugin with the newest k2 version. At it just works in the catalog mode. You have to edit the k2 files to display the "K2_Published_In" of the additional categories.

But youre right, they dont work on the plugin anymore. And its not working when you use the k2_content module and loadmodule. Than youll just get the main categories, not the additional ones.

But sooner or later ill switch to the plugin you recommended.

Question: Are you going to extend the category assignement (multiple) in the core version? I think its quite usefull to assign a item in multiple categories.

EDIT: Works with the router_2.10.2.php too. Tested it

No, there is no plan to add multi-categorization in K2.

This works OK for me "Inceptive Multiple Categories for K2"

Item display in all categories, the only problem is that not all categories are displayed, only the main one.
