K2 category view & Falang was created by Chris
Hi,
I've set a multilingual site (English & Greek) and I face a problem.
When a menu points at a K2 category, in category view K2 items titles show original language (English) an not the translated one (Greek). When we select a K2 item, everything is ok.
How can I solve the problem

Thanks
Chris

Menus, categories (and sometimes items) need to be properly configured to the desired language.

If you use common K2 categories for content in both English and Greek, you're doing it the wrong way. Separate your content into different category trees and properly assigned them to the right language.

I'm not sure I understand.
I have set all categories assigned to all languages, and K2 items as well.
I've added English content and used Falang for the translation
Is this the wrong configuration?

You can't use Falang and Joomla's multilingual features at the same time. You can just use the latter.

Use this guide to set things up: docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Setup_a_Multilingual_Site

Fotis, I've set the site as multilingual. It works fine with Joomla articles, they are accosiated, but I need to associate K2 items for both languages.
I think this can be done with a 3rd party extension, so I use faland
Am I right?

Not really, sorry. Falang stores the translations in its own database tables, it doesn't map an item assigned e.g. to English with another that is its translation for German for example.

I actually have a plugin for that in the works. Use the contact form here www.joomlaworks.net/support/get-help/contact if you'd like to get a (paid) preview before it's released for everyone.
