How do i get a list of tags from the category list?

$item->tags does not work

If you mean the file "category_item.php" it must be "$this->item->tags".

No I use the search items in the tools, and it gets the content from the generic.php file. Now the tags are not within the $item. Anyone know hwy?

As far as i know k2 doesn't support tags in search-listings.

You have to add a sql querry for _k2_tags_xref and _k2_tags relating to the item-id of a single result...
