Unless you've modified the item.php sub-template, then you're simply pasting the entire text as introtext. You need to split your content in the Joomla WYSIWYG editor. K2 simply makes the introtext as fulltext when you're viewing the item page.

Thanks for your reply.
I have created a new template folder and changed everything there. item.php included.
However, choosing the default template from the category item view options doesn't solve the problem.
it is sitewide. on all my k2 items I cannot see the fulltext. only intro. it was good before. I don't know what has happened.
I even made a new menu item and assigned a template to it. that didn't solve it. so I know it is not the Joomla template.
it must be inside k2. I updated my k2 to the latest. that didn't solve it either.
even replaced the item.php from another website which works fine. that didn't work either.
one more update: I even replaced the whole com_k2 folder from a working k2. but that didn't solve the problem .
could it be jquery problem or setting problem?

That's a little hard to answer since it can be your settings (even some inheritance issue) or your override code.
Consult this guide to ensure file paths are correct at least: getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/templating-with-k2-and-the-concepts-of-sub-templates

Thanks. Yes, it is difficult .
I checked it against the table. my templates were not in this directory:
/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/html/com_k2/
but in:
/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/
. I corrected it but it wasn't the solution. it worked like before.
I created a new category, created a new article and assigned it to a new menu item.
it does the same.
any text after read more is not being shown.
you can check it here:
www.bahramabedini.com/en/test1
this is default everything
Here I also tested the default joomla article system
www.bahramabedini.com/fa/joomla-article
it works there

is there a reset button anywhere?
I have over 1000 items in k2 and need to make it alright in a less risky way.

Do you or anyone knows where the read more function is stemming from?
what php or jscript file should I look for its functionality?
not the readmore itself but the function that makes it show the fulltext.

Hi,
Thanks everyone who participated in this topic.
I found the culprit. there was one plugin inside Joomla which was called GGPKG import which is for displaying Pano2VR and Object2VR content in Joomla.
by disabling that plugin the problem in K2 solved. I believe conflict of jscripts.
