Unless there's a JS conflict breaking the K2 backend (e.g. via a 3rd party extension), ordering should work just fine. A screenshot or screencast would certainly help me see how the issue specifically occurs.

Sorry, the screenshot is low-resolution and I can't see much. There is a JS error for sure (some inline JS code). Can you upload a higher-res image e.g. on imgur.com please?

The "K2 - System" should not be disabled by the way. This comes from K2.

What I meant is look for third-party extensions that interface with K2 or other system plugins which may inject code on all Joomla pages in the backend...

Sorry, i have the same problem. It's linked to language.
If backend language is set to "italian" (did not try other languages), ordering do not work. If backend language is set to English, ordering works.

Again, I'd need a screenshot for that to see if there are any JS errors.

Ordering works just fine on my end and my demo site uses 5 languages.

Hi again, in "items" and "categories" i get this error in console:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier
in
index.php?option=com_k2&view=items:89

In other views, no error shows up in console.
If I login in english language no errors shows up and ordering is fine.
I can PM you admin credentials if you wish

Locate that line please. When you click on the URL on the right, it should load up the actual HTML line.

Apparently the JS code before K2's JS code does not properly close or something, thus JS breaks in your site. Try if you can figure out which extension adds that piece of JS code and disable it (most likely a 3rd party K2 or system plugin).

Problem is that this is a clean Joomla installation, with K2 and YoothemePRO. Can this be caused by K2 Italian translation? I always wondered why here getk2.org/extend/translations we have 2 "italian". I've always installed both... can this create the problem?

Possibly. Remove the language pack to verify for starters.

Uninstalling italian Language Pack works. No more JS error.
Now, which of these 2 "italian" ( getk2.org/extend/translations ) is the right one?

The "Italian (Italy)" package is up to date for sure with only a few language strings untranslated. But there may be some incompatible strings included. Have a look at this: www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/47977-solved-k2-language-not-working?start=40#174378
