Simple Image Gallery Pro Thumbnails Not Displaying [SOLVED] was created by Lefteris
Hi,
I have had a lot of trouble with my thumbnails not displaying, neither at back end not front end.
Solution: the file names can not have any caps, hyphens, dashes, etc. Simple lower caps names with no spaces (use undrscores) and numbers. Delete what you have, upload the files again, and it works
However, I am quite furious with Joomlaworks that this is not in the instructions. Also, I am using K2, so I had to discover that I had to change the path in the SIG Pro plugin to the K2 path where the Image galleries are stored. Why JoomlaOWrks dos not warn in advance or say wich path this is, I do not know. I purchased this because it is supposed to be "fully integrated" with K2 but it is a lie. You need to keep tweaking things at the back end, change the root directory, and you need to dowload text files and what not to enter labels. I am very dissapointed with the product. It needs an interface to enter labels within K2 Joomla before this can be caimed to be "fully integrated" with K2. For K2 users, when you upload a zip file with images, you will have no clue where they go, so you have no way of knowing the name of the folder where your images are, hence you can't add the gallery tag to create a gallery.

This post solved my problems. I agree this info needs to be in the documentation.

I agree as well. I feel lucky I found this post after only a few days of headaches.
I don't understand one point though - the path you change in the plugin, is that where ALL your images have to be? When you upload the zip file, each file gets it's own folder (mine would be media/k2/galleries/101). The next gallery I upload would be 102 and so on. So each gallery has it's own folder, so the plugin folder won't do much good (as I read your explanation)
Sorry, but I am not a developer - just a hobbiest and don't know all the lingo.

This didn't solve it for me. I've corrected all the file names. Removed all instances of other modules/plugins using jquery or mootools. Still no thumbnails showing up.
Plus, the mootools or jquery popup engine doesn't work on the iphone.
