  strangely,  image thumbnails in my gallery do not appear but  the message 'Click image to open!' appears and if you click on the thumbnail it works , the image pops up.

i just purchased this plugin yesterday and installed it. don't know much about it. i uploaded images using media manager.

Any ideas??

Please rename your images avoiding special characters like %, caps, dashes etc.
After that remember to clean your cache...

thanks for your reply. i tired that but it didn't work. i read all your posts too, and according to that it could be sth to do with either file/folder permission or it could be problem with media manager (which i used uploading files).
i don't know how to change permission and etc.  ...there are no other clear solutions in the forum.

Your issue is stictly related with the names of your images.
Just checked and saw that the only images that they do not display as thumbnails include %, dashes, etc in their names.
You must remove this elements from their names.

I'm having the same problem, which is odd as these images worked with Joomla 1.5 and the original plugin. All I've done is installed Joomla 1.6 on my laptop, with Xampp and updated the plugin off your site last night. I've set up the plugin today and like all the others, when you click on the blank space it loads the image. The image naming hasn't changed as all I did was copy them over from the J1.5 folder I have, so they are basically in the format of "image1.jpg". I've tried all the suggestions on the forum but no go. Any ideas on what I can try next?

maybe your issue is being related with wrong permissions so check them out too.
In addition, make sure that you have GD library installed.

Ok checked both. Using Filezila I can see that permissions are fine, set to maximum access, no restrictions at all. No idea what GD Library was, but did a search and downloaded an exe file. Have run that as awell. Still no thumbnails. I will see about running it on my main site and see if it works online, rather than locally.

If the problem remains please post me a link to your gallery page to check it out.

All ok now. Must be something to do with the Xampp set up. Have set up J1.6 on my server and installed the plugin and all fine.
