Can I have only samples of my Gallery used as Gallery Thumbnails? was created by ExquisM

I would like to configure my Gallery, so it would appear kind of halfway between normal and single thumbnail mode. For example, I would like to have a Gallery with four pictures, but I would like to have only four thumbnails.

Would this be possible?

Four pictures and four thumbnails in a gallery?
This is the normal thumbnail mode...

I would like to have 4 thumbnails for a 10 picture gallery.

Is that possible?
