Hi There. I purchased SIG Pro 2.5.4 which is installed on a Joomla 1.7.0 site with K2 2.5.0. Any page that calls ajax.googleapis.com takes forever to load but it eventually does. This happens in Firefox, Chrome and Safari. When I went to this site joomlaworks.net exactly the same thing happened so it's not just my site. In Firefox at the bottom leave you see "connecting to ajax.googleapis.com" and it stays like that for ages 2 min plus before the page loads. What am I doing wrong ? Regards Peter

Hi Katia. Thank you for your amazingly prompt response. My original order number was 8B607247E85777822 under a differrent email address but when I try and download the latest version it tells me the order has expired. The site is thewebsiteco.co.za/lh2
Upon further investigation disabling the System K2 plugin causes the site to load instantly put then of course none of the K2 menu items work like Products, the first category "Be Gorgeous" has an item in it with a gallery. I am quite happy to send you the back-end login details if you email me.

Hi Katia. This all seems to be relating to the ajax.googleapis.com api because I have some other sites that have developed problems.
kashanhouse.co.za
theprivatehouseco.co.za
steynshoop.co.za
These have not changed in a long time and now they only work in Chrome and kashanhouse.co.za won't display a light box even in Chrome.

Hi Fotis. I think you have nailed the issue. The problem has gone away and apparently the release of iOS5 caused a slowdown of the whole Internet. Thanks again for you help. Regards Peter

Hi there. This problem has reared it's head again. I followed your suggestion and my service provider responded with the following.

Please note that since this is a shared server, we change the resolvers to Google resolvers, as this would affect other customers using this server.

However, if your problem is DNS resolution time, I would suggest that you contact "joomlaworks" support forum and request them to configure the plugin to use an IP address rather than the host name "ajax.googleapis.com". You will first have to confirm with them that this IP address would be static for this host.

I have checked the DNS for ajax.googleapis.com and could see that it resolves to just one IP address(unlike other google domains)
