K2 as image gallery - random thumbnail was created by Marek Wojtaszek

I want to use K2 with SIG as image gallery. My question: is it possible to load in items on category page random thumbnail from SIG and full gallery in item page as in bigger gallery scripts? Now I can use item image but with random thumbnail it would be easier and faster.
