Hi,

I just bought simple image gallery pro and I want to add a gallery to my K2 items. It does upload the .zip file but i get the following error.

There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: media/k2/galleries/1

Joomla version: 1.7.2
sigpro version: 2.5.6

I activated the plugin and I changed the default folder of the plugin to media/k2/galleries

The images are uploaded to "media/k2/galleries"    succesfully

There are no thumbs created in images/.tmb

I hope someone can help me out.

I forgot to add a link to the website. See www.sunwood.nl/index.php/gashaarden2 for the problem.

Check your path in SIG PRO plugin settings and of course check the Media Manager directory path for your image folder.
It is a wrong path issue...

Hi Katia.. It was a weird permission problem.

The cache folder was set to 755 and the cache/jw_sigpro folder was set to 755 also. I tried setting this last folder to 777 and filezilla replied that i did not have permission. Then I deleted the folder jw_sigpro then created a new one with exactly the same name and changed the permissions to 777. Works totally fine now.  :) Took me some time though.

This error is because you upload the images .zip in K2 before configuring the plugin
Root folder for image galleries -> media/k2/galleries
If you do not do this before you will have error
To correct go to the image folder on the server: root/media/k2/galleries -> delete image folder you uploaded
Then go to the item you have upload image on k2, click on Image gallery tab, click in check-box for delete and click apply or save
Now upload zip image forder and save. That is it.

@tonicosta,
not in every case. This may be the solution but not always... As you can see above this was a permissions issue.
