custom programming for gallery using [ ] was created by Janet Mercer

I am taking over a site I did not build and I am trying to figure out what the previous developer did. He created code that looks like this:

[spcaibox]{gallery}obp/m/111118_105:186::0:2{/gallery}[/spcaibox]

I understand the gallery tags and everything between but where is the [spcaibox] code? I see the results on this page:

This is an old version of our SIG PRO plugin.
However, this is not included in our code: [/spcaibox] .

I know - I am trying to figure out what the previous programmer did using those brackets to produce the output. I am moving the site and am hoping to duplicate this output.
