I purchased the Simple Image Gallery PRO (plugin) and can't get it to work with K2. Whenever I try to upload a .zip file with the imagens (saving the item after choosing the .zip file), I get a black page right in the middle of the process (backend) and no sign of anything uploaded in any folders.

Here's what i have:

permission: 777 (all foders and files)
image files: simplified names and not within folder when compacted
zip file name: simplified
zip file size: 40 kb
php version: 5.3.6
joomla version: 1.5.22
forum: went through it all but couldn't find the same exact problem
previous free plugin: unpublished
k2 version: K2 v2.4.1

I also tried this  with my hosting company: forum.joomlaworks.net/simple-image-gallery-pro-%28plugin%29/%28troubleshooting%29-gallery-thumbnails-don%27t-display-at-all-%28or-display-%27blank%27%29/

Can anyone help me?

Thank you!

Hi, Katia. Thank you so much for your attention!

I did what you told me to, but it didn't work:

1. .zip file now is 9.4k (4 imagens in it)
2. browser used ie 9, Chrome 15 and Firefox 7.0.1

What else can be done?

Katia, again, thank you so much for your help.

I did what you told me to, but unfortunetly unpublishing other puglins in order to identify conflicts didn't really work for me.

When I was about to give up and lose my trust on this extension I decided to give on more shot at my hosting company, but this time I was assisted by someone with serious background and commitment (like you). In a nutshell, the attendent managed to find out that it was all about a hosting problem at last. He blamed on the server which, apparently, had not been properly set since the function "Exec." was not enabled (whatever that means), which is essential since K2 (and not the SIG) uses it when uploading images, for examplo. (yes, the guy from the hosting company figured out that it was not only a SIG uploading problem, but also an ordinary image wouldn't do it)

He transfered the website to another server and things seem to be working fine now.

I'm telling you this because you might face some other people with the same kind of trouble claiming everything is fine with their hosting service, when it's the other way around.

Again, I appreciate your attention and I apologize for your trouble helping me out.

Best regards.

Thanks for informing my friend...
I am glad you have solved your issue... However, permissions issue is a very common issue and not very obvious many times!!!
