Hi there,

Like a lot of folks new to SIG Pro, I too am having issues getting the gallery to display in my K2 item. As usual the error message is -

The was a problem converting the source image.
There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: media/k2/galleries/73

I have ensured the plugin is published, I have set the root folder for image galleries  to media/k2/galleries/

I have set the permissions on the galleries folder to 777 as well as the sub dir 73 (also to 777) I'm not sure how secure using 777 on any Joomla site is ??

I'm running Joomla 1.5.25, SIG Pro 2.5.6, PHP 5.2.17

Any suggestions that might resolve this ?

ok some progress in getting SIG to work, just not with K2 integration ..

If I set the Root folder for image galleries to be images/stories/galleries and then insert the tags {gallery}73{/gallery} then everything works.

This suggests to me that SIG is working, but SIG integration with K2 isn't working. I'm using K2 2.5.4.

Any ideas or suggestions ?

I had the same problem.

You must pay attention to the size of the images. When i removed the images with too big size, the problem was gone. Also use image names without spaces.

@martinb1 Simple Image Gallery Pro works "out of the box" with K2. You don't need to set any base paths. That option in the plugin parameters is for when you use the {gallery}...{/gallery} tags. But with K2, you simply upload a zip file of images and that's it... If you use very large images in size, keep in mind that server limits (RAM, PHP settings) may prevent them from getting resized.

This error is because you upload the images .zip in K2 before configuring the plugin
Root folder for image galleries -> media/k2/galleries
If you do not do this before you will have error
To correct go to the image folder on the server: root/media/k2/galleries -> delete image folder you uploaded
Then go to the item you have upload image on k2, click on Image gallery tab, click in check-box for delete and click apply or save
Now upload zip image forder and save. That is it.

@tonicosta,
not always. This may be the solution in some cases.
