I'm using the classic gallery with a pop-up. I'd like the pop-up images to show the photo captions, but adding that also automatically adds a caption on top of the gallery thumbnails.

Is there a way to turn on captions for the full images but turn them off for the thumbnails?

Really? There's nowhere I could remove lines of code so that the thumbnail caption isn't generated?
