Just an update on this - details have been sent over but I have also eliminated the following:

- The theme I was using - changed to the default theme and the problem still remained.
- Issue with the editor I was using - changed to no editor so raw HTML code edit being used and added the link to the Flickr Gallery - no joy.
- Issue with permissions - changed all permissions on cache, images etc to 777 to make sure - no difference.
- It was a Flickr only issue - made sure the API was correct.  Also unable to upload a ZIP file of images to the server as get an error of "Gallery upload error. Cannot extract archive.".  Have confirmed only the images are being zipped when the zip is created, and not the folder.  All images are in lower case, no gaps, no special characters and the file type is jpg not JPG.  Same with the images in the Flickr gallery.
- Safe mode being enabled - checked and confirmed with my hosts, this is disabled
- K2 issue.  Have another site on the same server using the normal images function within K2 and this can be added to an article with no problems.

The only thing I can think is the version of PHP being run - I'm on 5.2.18 and there are no plans on upgrading to 5.3 until June by my hosts as I know this worked (regarding the zip issue) on another thread for another user.  From checking the documentation only PHP5 is needed.

Any thoughts or anyone else come across this issue?

i was having a problem with this.. and it seemed to come down to a couple of things..

firstly.. i think the copy and paste of the API Key got messed up when copying it from the page which flickr displays once you successfully get the key.. so if you go to "You>Your Apps" ... there is a copy paste friendly Key there..

also you might want to change the flickr web address.. to again make it a bit more friendly.. you can do this by going to "You>Your Account>Your Flickr web addresses"..

Sorry for the delay - I've been away from my PC for a bit due to illness

Thanks for that - I have tried what you have suggested, and I am still getting the same issue - when you click the linked gallery the gallery set does load, but the thumbs are not loading.  From checking the App stats within Flickr, the service is being called and has been called over the last day or so but still no thumbs.

Katia - I have upgraded to the latest version as recommended as well.

I have also tried adding {gallery}myphotos{/gallery} for my images, and now I get a white screen when I try to load the page :(

I am trying this in 2 separate articles to save confusion between the 2 issues.

The Flickr set being added to the Hannah article is - www.flickr.com/photos/barramya/6841896195/in/set-72157629232355959/

The gallery on the server is within the images folder called myphotos so full url would be www.ladiesofthesquaredcircle.com/images/myphotos/.  I have also tried to just link to images itself and that didn't work.  This is being linked to the Amazon article.

When I tried to add the Flickr gallery to the Hannah article I get - "There was a problem rendering your image gallery. Please make sure that the folder you are using in the Simple Image Gallery Pro plugin tags exists and contains valid image files. The plugin could not locate the folder: " when you look at the article you get

"Image Gallery
{gallery}www.flickr.com/photos/barramya/6841896195/in/set-72157629232355959/{/gallery} "

So it looks to be attempting to link the gallery but it just can't render it.

When I try to add the {gallery}myphotos{/gallery} tag to the Amazon article I then cannot access the website so I have removed the coding concerned.

The plugin is set to the default parameters regarding location of images.

Hi Katia,

Have removed the link, added it afresh (to the Hannah article again).  Image gallery loads, however no thumbnails.  When you click where the thumbnails should be no image loads.

At the bottom of the page the "View the entire set on Flickr" does load the URL www.flickr.com/photos/barramya/sets/72157629232355959/ so it seems to know about the gallery, it is just refusing to generate thumbnails.
