Permissions Conflicts was created by theandygram
I have been having a terrible time with permissions issues with my Joomla installation lately.  This all started when I used the Admin Tools from the maker of Akeeba backup.  Nicholas from Akeeba recommended asking my hosting company (which uses suPHP) to set the ownership of all files and folders to the FTP user.  They did this.

Now, when I upload a zip file to create an image gallery, it uploads it fine, however, when I try and download the labels.txt file and then reupload it, it says I can't.  The permissions on the directory that SIG Pro created are set to 755.  When I try and change the permissions on the directory to 777 from 755, it won't let me.  Is there a conflict in ownership here?  If so, how can I fix this?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I'm tearing my hear out.

You should contact your hosting company and explain them your issue in order to solve it.
