Joomla 1.5.23 SIG Pro 2.5.7

When using the Colorbox engine, my longer captions are overlapping with the image count "Image 2 of 12".

Is there any solution to this, such as changing the layout of the caption area?

I am using Colorbox because it seems to work better for tablet users. Has anyone noticed if I upgrade  joomla to 2.5 that there is better tablet integration?
