Question | Use of Staticflickr or Flickr was created by BrickleCreek
Quick question for the powers at be. In regard to SIG and it's Flickr integration, does it "sipp" the photos from "staticflickr.com" or "flickr.com" URLs?

The organization I'm with blocks all social media websites and I'm wanting to submit a proxy modification request so people can see the photographs, but it has to be a very specific URL to be authorized. Looking at the source code of the page, it seems the photos are coming from the staticflickr.com farm pages. Does the module sipp ANY information from any other URLs such as flickr.com/anything?

Thanks for the quick response Katia, but I was hoping for a more technical response. I know the photos come from Flickr ... but the URLS in the source code have the photos hosted from "staticflickr.com". I've been trying to reverse engineer the code to find this answer myself, but I'm not the biggest expert on coding.

If anyone is running into proxy filter problems at their organizations, preventing users from seeing the photographs hosted by Flickr, there is a way to work the proxy.

SIG displays the photos from Flickr's farm servers, I.E. farm8.staticflickr.com. If you put a proxy modification request in to unblock the urls such as farm##.staticflickr.com, your users will be able to see the photographs while still being prevented from suring Flickr.

We just ran a bunch of tests with our proxy, and unblock all the farm servers from 1 to 20, and so far so good.
