Hi
I find that captions written in french (with special characters like acute and graves) do not appear on the thumbnail captions or in the full view captions. I use joomfish on the site.

The french captions are in fr-FR.labels.txt file that was created by default
The English captions work as they should!

No ideas on how to solve this...

The problem exits on all the galleries in the site.

I have just checked the link you posted in English and in French version.
The captions are there in both languages but there seems to be a css conflict with your template cause the color of the captions -in both languages- is black and this make them unreadable.
