Hi There, Ive been using and love Simple Image Gallery Pro
BUT now I have a huge gallery of uploaded photos which Ive been systematically labeling and adding descriptions to over the past few weeks.

My challenge is to now arrange the display of these images in alphabetical order - using settings, I can do this BUT it arranges according to the filename and not the "title description" …is there any workaround that we can use to display the photos according to their title not the file name. Im loathed to go back and rename each individual filename at this stage

No. Unfortunately, you can't do this. Images are sorted based on their file names.

Has there been any discussion to offering a sort order, ie: filename, file date, ascending, descending? Or add the ability to 'move' the images around inside the gallery admin area for the sort order that is desired, which would be really great!

To be honest, this is one area that needs attention.
