Using a single thumbnail display mode to head up a large set
of photographs I wish to provide an option for visitors to
be able to kickstart their viewing into automatic.
ie run through an entire directory without having to
click 'next' button repeatedly (except for the odd pause).
Do you have a hack/anything for this sort of functionality?

----best wishes, Robert

PostEdit: where a 'large set' constitutes some 350+ photographs

Robert,
I would like the same thing. Did you ever get autostart to work?
Arlene :)

Arlene----
Very good luck to you Arlene;~)
No, I didn't get 'it' to work... in fact
nothing from JoomlaWorks [sic] ever resulted
in anything I'm afraid. Because of the way
the contributors to the functionality of the
actual Joomla CMS effectively hold back local
development I'm in the process of dropping my
site's use of the Joomla CMS altogether. My
intention is to develop my own functionalities
on my sites and expect to do this within a new
Java model along with bits of my favourite PHP.
I'm already well on the way but it's difficult
doing all the internal redirection stuff to cope
with a continuation of the old and the growing
new whilst converting the back catalogue. I'm
also trying to drop the old .htaccess stuff for
a more centralised server configuration using
its httpd.conf stuff. Fed up waiting on others
to produce that which was 'promised' so now I
am learning to do it myself;~)
----best wishes, Robert
