Show 1st image from all sub folder was created by DazlerD
Hi

If I have a directory structure like this:

images/pictures/2008 tests/BrandsHatch
images/pictures/2008 tests/Mallory
images/pictures/2008 tests/Pembrey

I would like to display an article for "2008 tests" with 3 thumbnails, one from each of the sub folders.  When a thumbnail is clicked the article relating to the sub folder is opened and this shows all pictures in that folder.

Is this possible please?

Thanks

Darren

Hi my friend!

Have you tried to select from the mambot edit area ( administrator ) the Display Mode -> Single Thumbnail ?

And after that give this at the content item
{gallery}images/pictures/2008 tests/BrandsHatch{/gallery}
{gallery}images/pictures/2008 tests/Mallory{/gallery}
{gallery}images/pictures/2008 tests/Pembrey{/gallery}

Change the path, if this i wrote is wrong.
Also try to keep the name of the imgages/folders cleen of "space" characters!

Try out this, and come back to tell me if its ok for you!

Hi Vinikey, thanks for the response.

Thats works well for the initial Images article.  However, when clicking on the image I dont want to see the image, I want it to take me to the article contining that image.

And in this article I want to see thumbnails of all the images in this folder. So this bit is 'Normal' display mode.

Please view

www.rizla-suzuki.co.uk/pages/multimedia/top_galleries.aspx

or

www.pro-imaging.org/component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,120/

to see what I mean.

Thanks

Hi my friend!

well, now understand!
I'm afraid that this option it isn't support from sig pro...
Sig pro is "one page" mambot, that present in "lightbox" mode the images of a folder.
It isn't a component to handle task as do com_zoom and others component gallery.
Sig pro is a mambot gallery!  ;)

Thank you!

Hi vinikey

Thanks for the response.

Could you please tell me if there are any components out there that will run with J! 1.5 and allow me to show what I'm after?

I have installed Gallery2 which works on J!1.5, but the Gallery2Bridge doesnt work with J!1.5 so that's a waste of time.

zOOM seems to only work with J! 1.1 aswell.

Thanks for your assistance.
