I just bought Simple Image Gallery Pro v1.2.I tried to install it under Joomla 1.5.1 but I always get the same error:

Unable to write entry

Warning: file_put_contents() failed to open stream: Permission denied in (...)/libraries/joomla/utilities/compat/php50x.php on line 66

I tried to change the permission on the file php50x.php and its containing folders but the problem remains.

How to fix this error?

Any idea?

I'm using PHP v4.4.4, Apache v1.3.37, Joomla v1.5.1 stable.

I need to have the gallery working urgently!

Pffft. Maybe await a response during normal business hours like with every other company instead of claiming for a refund. What kind of attitude is that?

It's been 3days and nobody replied. The support here is pathetic and the product is simply NOT WORKING AT ALL!

At joomla forum will find a lot of post, where various users have problem at the installation of components/mambots cause the php50x.php file!

Try to re-install your Joomla system!

The same situation with me at the moment.
I can't proceed the installation due to the same error that I've experienced.

I currently have Rocket Theme templates so it shouldn't be a conflict with RT as since then I don't have any issues not until I installed FPSS just today.

Any ideas guys?
