Joomla! can install and read language files for plugins in the backend folders only, unfortunately...

Really? I thought this was something you decided in the XML file (where to install a language file) and that you decided in the plugin where to read the language from?

I have several plugins with language files in the normal language folder, but maybe those are special cases?

Any estimate on when we will see the new version? Would be nice to be able to see a big gallery as a horizontal scroll instead of a grid.
