Slow image load, what have I done wrong? was created by Max Joahn Enstr#m Axelsson
Im using Joomla 1.0.15 with template JA Koniga from joomlart. And have an performance problem with image gallery pro. The displaying of full images goes really slow, even when I have images in small sizes (Im down at 450px and abour 10kb/pic and it is still really slow).
I have my testsite here that I havnt done anything about except including the JA Koniga and simple image gallery pro:
www.maxa.se/sis/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=27
Im using Lytebox, cause that was the only one that gave me the fade-in/out function, the rest opened the pics in new windows.
I hade the following other mambots published:
MOS Image, SEF, MOS Rating, Email cloaking, Load module position, MOS Pagination, No WYSIWYG Editor, TinyMCE WYSIWYG Editor, MOS Image editor button, MOS pagebreaker editor button, search content, search weblinks, search contacts, search categories, search sections, search newsfeeds.
Can it be some of those that mess with my load-lime?
My host is usually really fast, so I suppose its something that is wrong with my setup.
EDIT: there was no check-icon for solved threads, so I inserted an happy face instead.

Hi my friend!
I checked out your site today with FF2 and IE7 and as i can see, the load time its ok.
Also, the popup effect take some of the time to make the all effect.
Can you tell me please, how many seconds your browser needs to open the popup image?
Thank you!

Hi
I have IE7 and it takes about 5-7sec to open the first pic. The thing that takes all the time is the "shade-effect".I think it takes a little to much time after watching the demo that you got on this site, where the effect is very quick and smooth!
It would be nice if it was possible to fix, but I will use it any how. Must say that its an great gallery-function!! I have tested big components before, and they never worked as I wanted to.
Thanks for helping!
Best regards
/Max

Hi again my friend!
It is really strange, because in my computer takes only 3-4 ( maximum ) seconds!
With FireFox and IE7!
Hmmm... I'll try to find where in the javascript of mootools or jquery is set the "opening time"!
Thank you for the report!

I did find the "fault"... im so stupid :)
It is possible to set the resize speed in the lytebox.js. I missed that and therefor the "loading" went slow!
Thanks for trying to help me and the great mambot that you have created!!
Best regards

this.resizeSpeed = 5; // controls the speed of the image resizing (1=slowest and 10=fastest)
